Public Announcement SW 3rd Ave. 

Road Closure 

OCALA, Fla. (February 5, 2025) – In order to accommodate a utility project a road closure will be in place intermittently along SW 3rd Avenue, from SR 40 to SW Broadway Street,  beginning Monday, February 10, 2025, through Friday, February 28, 2025. 

All necessary devices will be in-place to redirect traffic. Construction will take place Mondays through Fridays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. During construction times travelers may experience delays, noise, dust, and heavy equipment within the project areas

Downtown will be experiencing major construction projects from October 2024 until 2027. This page will provide updates on road closures and other important information. 

The stormwater component of the project will be in five phases and are expected to conclude in late 2024 to early 2025 those are reflected in the map below, and the road closure map is also posted. When dates for the next phase are known, they will be reflected with the road closure map.
