Signs in Right-of-Way 

Snipe signs or signs other than city signs, are not permitted on city property or the public right-of-way (Sec. 110-131).

Junk and Yard Debris 

Junk, trash and yard debris are prohibited from being left in your yard and must be disposed of properly. Exceptions are for scheduled pick up days. (Sec. 34-95)

Abandoned Vehicles 

An abandoned or derelict vehicle is one without a current tag or non-operational. Vehicles must be stored in a fully enclosed building. (Sec. 34-122)

Trailers and Boats 

It is a violation to park any boat or trailer in the front or side of a residential property. Boats and trailers must be parked in the backyard. (Sec. 122-1193)

Overgrown/Unkept Yards 

Yards must be maintained to avoid unsightly weeds or high grass. Weeds and undergrowth cannot be over 12 inches in height. Shrubs and trees must be trimmed to avoid sight distance problems on corners. (Sec. 34-95)

House Numbers 

House or building numbers are to be at least three inches in height, should be a color that contrasts with the color of where they are placed.  Numbers should be easily visible from the street. (Sec. 82-443)

Swimming Pools 

All swimming pools shall be maintained in a clean and sanitary condition. Water should be free of all foreign matter. Water should be clear enough to see all parts of the bottom of the pool. (Sec. 82-517)
