May 19, 2026: **Sweetwater Mobile Home Fire** At 4:00 p.m., Marion County and Ocala Fire Rescue units were dispatched to reports of a mobile home structure fire in the Sweetwater Oaks Mobile Home Community. Multiple 911 callers reported smoke and flames visible. Crews from Golden Ocala Station 20 arrived on scene at 4:11 p.m. to find the carport fully engulfed in flames, with fire extending into the residence. Additional MCFR units from Anthony Station 1, Meadow Wood Farms Station 12, Friendship Station 21, and Ocala Fire Rescue Stations 1 and 4 assisted with suppression efforts. Primary and secondary searches of the structure were conducted, with no one found inside. The fire was declared under control at 4:15 p.m. The cause of the fire was determined to be a charging E-Bike. No injuries were reported to civilians or firefighters on scene.

Ocala Fire Rescue
Today, during the city of Ocala’s Council Meeting, we had the joy of celebrating Battalion Chief Pat Feagle’s 25 years of dedicated service to Ocala Fire Rescue. Chief Feagle has been characterized by strong leadership, operational excellence, and his deep commitment to public safety. Rising through the ranks since the early 2000’s, he is widely respected within his department and across the fire service community. Chief Feagle has spent over two decades on the department’s Special Operations Team and Task Force, responding to complex, high-risk incidents. He has deployed multiple times with Task Force and Incident Management Teams, including responses to Hurricane Michael and Hurricane Helene, supporting large-scale disaster operations across Florida. A passionate advocate for training and development, he serves as a Training Task Force Chair at both the regional and state levels and has instructed at conferences nationwide. He also contributed locally by working for more than a decade at the Florida State Fire College and helping develop a high school Emergency Medical Responder program. Chief Feagle holds a bachelor’s degree, Fire Officer IV certification, and numerous leadership credentials. His service has earned him multiple honors, including Life Saving Awards, Unit Citations, and Humanitarian Awards. Known as a “go-to” leader and mentor, he is committed to developing others and building strong teams. He was also one of three founding members of the Ocala Police SWAT Medic Program, strengthening coordination between fire rescue and law enforcement. Above all, Chief Feagle values his family. Alongside his wife, Ellie, he has raised four children—Michaela, Aidan, Delaney, and Riley—whom he considers his greatest accomplishment. Congratulations on this outstanding achievement, BC Feagle! We appreciate your dedication to this fire service family and this community!

𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗺𝗯𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗻 𝗜-𝟳𝟱 Three Transported After Ambulance Rollover on I-75 (OCALA, FL.) May 19, 2026 – A medical transport vehicle was involved in a collision resulting in a rollover with lane blockage on I-75 Northbound, near mile marker 354, at approximately 5:00 p.m. Ocala Fire Rescue's Engine 1, Rescue 1, Squad 1, Battalion Chief 22, and a Safety Officer were dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, crews found a three-vehicle collision involving two personal vehicles and an American Ambulance transport van, which was found on its side. Passersby assisted in evacuating the patient and two transport personnel from the overturned ambulance, prior to the responders' arrival. All three individuals were transported to nearby hospitals for further evaluation. No other injuries were reported from the incident. The two left-most lanes of I-75 NB remained blocked until approximately 6:30 p.m., causing notable traffic delays. Marion County Fire Rescue, the Florida Highway Patrol, and the Road Rangers also responded. ### - - - 🚨 TRAFFIC ALERT 🚨 Expect delays along I-75 NB from MM 352 onward, due to a motor vehicle collision near MM 354. The incident resulted in an overturned ambulance. The two left-most lanes of I-75 NB are blocked. Road rangers are assisting with traffic. Details to follow.
