The Sanitation division provides collection service to more than 17,600 single family homes, 9,000 multi-family units and 4,100 commercial businesses located within the City. It is a requirement of the Code of the City of Ocala that all solid waste, excluding construction and demolition debris (C&D) and recyclable commodities, must be collected and disposed of exclusively by the City of Ocala.
