Your New Recycling Drop-Off Program

Beginning July 6, 2026 the City of Ocala will transition from curbside recycling collection to a citywide recycling drop-off program. Residents can continue recycling accepted materials at designated drop-off locations throughout the city while helping reduce sanitation costs and supporting long-term program sustainability.

Residents currently receiving curbside recycling will not need to take any action. On July 6, 2026, recycling carts will convert to garbage carts. Each household may keep up to two carts; any additional carts will be removed. To remove one of the two allowed carts, residents must contact the City of Ocala Sanitation Division.
