Park Concessionaires
The City of Ocala Recreation and Parks Department offers opportunities for approved concessionaires to operate on designated City-owned park and recreational properties through a Concessionaire Agreement. These agreements allow vendors to provide approved services that enhance the experience of park visitors while supporting safe and enjoyable public recreational spaces.
City parks and recreation centers attract residents, families, visitors, and community members seeking recreation, relaxation, and outdoor activities. Approved concession operations may include food and beverage services, retail sales, recreational instruction, rentals, or other activities determined appropriate for the specific park or facility location.
Potential concession opportunities may include, but are not limited to:
• Food and Beverage Services – Snacks, beverages, desserts, coffee, and other approved food service operations.
• Retail Sales – Park-themed merchandise, handmade goods, outdoor supplies, and similar approved items.
• Recreational Activities and Services – Guided tours, fitness classes, recreational instruction, rentals, and similar approved activities.
Please note that this application and any resulting agreement do not constitute a business license, occupational license, or regulatory permit authorizing business operations generally within the City of Ocala. The purpose of the Concessionaire Agreement is solely to request permission to temporarily operate approved services on designated City-owned property under terms established by the City for the management, safety, and preservation of public facilities.
All concessionaires remain responsible for obtaining and maintaining any licenses, permits, certifications, or approvals otherwise required by federal, state, or local law for their operations.
To apply, please complete the Concessionaire Application and provide all applicable documentation listed below:
• State of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation License(s)
• City of Ocala Occupational License(s), if applicable
• Additional certifications appropriate for the services provided
• Photograph of equipment to be utilized during operations
• Signed Insurance and Indemnification Form
• Certificate of Liability Insurance showing the City of Ocala as the Certificate Holder in the amounts required by the agreement
• Completed Florida Instant Search background screening(s) for all proposed employees/assistants, along with a copy of photo identification. Background screenings are required due to operations occurring within or adjacent to public recreational areas frequently utilized by children and families.
