In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the following locations will have altered hours of operations for Monday, January 18: Recreation and Parks Administration Office - Closed Eighth Avenue Adult Activity Center - Closed E.D. Croskey Recreation Center - Closed Mary Sue Rich Community Center at Reed Place - 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Normal operating hours will resume on Tuesday, January 19. If you need assistance during this time, please call the staff at Mary Sue Rich Community Center at Reed Place at 352-401-6980.

Registration for the Spring Adult Basketball League is closing soon! 🏀 This basketball league is perfect for any team that's ready to play. The league will be a 5 vs. 5 (12-man max roster) full court league. The season includes 8 regular season games with everyone making a single elimination playoff at the end. League information: $425 per team | Ages 18+ Jan. 25 - March 29 Sundays | 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Registration closes Jan. 19. You can register at www.ocalafl.gov/recpark. Come join us for our Community Garden Replant Day tomorrow! Join us at the Ocala Wellness Community Garden at 8:30 a.m. to replant your garden with seasonal veggies and help each other tidy up the garden area. Our park pavilions offer the perfect setting for your gatherings, whether it's a family reunion, birthday celebration, or corporate picnic. With picturesque views, convenient amenities, and a serene atmosphere, our park pavilions provide the ideal backdrop for creating cherished memories with your loved ones. Availability: The pavilions are available for rental throughout the year, but availability may vary based on weather conditions and other events happening in the park.
Capacity: Each pavilion has a specific capacity limit to ensure the comfort and safety of the guests. The capacity can range from 30 to 100 people, depending on the pavilion size.
Amenities: Our pavilions are equipped with picnic tables and charcoal grills (renters must supply their own charcoal). There is no electric available at any of our pavilions, however small, quiet generator are permitted. Some pavilions may also have nearby restrooms, playgrounds, or other recreational facilities.
Rental fees: The rental fees for pavilions are for full day usage and vary depending on the size of the pavilion.
- Small Pavilions: $50.00
- Large Pavilions: $125.00
Reservations: Reservations must be made a minimum of 72 hours in advance to secure your preferred date and pavilion. Reservations can be made online and payment is due at the time of booking. All reservations are for a full day. Please note that early arrivals or late departures are not authorized.
Cancellations: Cancellations must be made via email to eventpermit@ocalafl.gov. Reservations made less than 30 days in advance are not eligible for a refund.
Rules and regulations: Park pavilion rentals come with certain rules and regulations that need to be followed. It's important to review and adhere to these rules for the safety and enjoyment of all park visitors. Failure to abide by these rules could result in being prohibited from future use.
- Prohibited items: balloons, confetti, silly strings, glitters, birdseed, glass and polystyrene containers.
- All decorations must be freestanding. Items may not be affixed to posts, tables, ceilings or other fixtures by nails, tape, tack, adhesive fastened or similar.
- Bounce houses and inflatables are not authorized for pavilion rentals.
- Alcohol is strictly prohibited in City parks.
- All trash must be picked up and properly disposed of at the conclusion of your rental.
