Join us for Fun in the Parks! Each month, we're bringing hands-on science, wild critter encounters, creative crafts and exciting recreation activities to your neighborhood park. Enjoy an afternoon of discovery, laughter and snacks. This activity is perfect for families and kids ready to explore the outdoors!

Jervey Gantt Aquatic Fun Center | 2390 SE 36 Ave.

Grab your leashes and head out to Jervey Gannt Aquatic Fun Center for our annual Soggy Doggy swim. There will be 2 sessions on March 14th for your dogs to enjoy. From 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., bring your puppies and smaller dogs (under 21 inches) and at 1 - 2:30 p.m. dogs taller than 21 inches will gave their turn to swim. Both sessions will be limited to the first 50 dogs per size, and owners must show proof of rabies, DHLP, and Bordetella vaccinations. All participating dogs must wear collars and tags while at the pool.

Join a park ranger at the retention pond to explore the fish that live in our waters and their role in keeping ponds healthy. Through hands-on activities and demonstrations, participants will learn about native and non-native species, safe catch-and-release techniques and proper casting methods.

Urban Open Dance Party | March 21

Come on out and help us celebrate Ocala's social dance community while connecting with friends and dancing the afternoon away. This will be an open dance event highlighting all forms of urban dance. This event will be in partnership with BLSSDFUTURE/Smooth Flava Dance, which is a regional nonprofit that assists youth attending STEM summer camp. Light refreshments will be provided along with music by DJ 44.
