If a tree or vine is interfering with, or poses a potential threat to, power lines or electrical equipment, you may complete the form below or call the Electric Department at 352-351-6600 to submit a request.
Never attempt to prune any vegetation growing in or near power lines yourself. If you plan to prune or remove a tree located within ten feet of the power line running from the pole to your home, call 352-351-6600 and request a “Line Drop for Tree Work.” This service is provided at no cost.
Please note that Ocala Electric Utility is responsible only for pruning vegetation around utility electrical lines and equipment. The Utility cannot prune vegetation that does not pose a threat to electrical infrastructure. For vegetation obstructing the roadway but not impacting electrical equipment, contact Public Works (within city limits) at 352-351-6733 or pubworks@ocalafl.gov
